I think if you know how to clean then they are vary tastey.Exalant light tackle fishing for the kids just remeber, they only have four teeth but, those teeth will cut just about anything including little fingers.I've probably eating five hundred in my life.

I was really shocked to see the fishing report here that said in November there makerals and jacks all up and down the beach.
I and several others fish Juno beach every weekend. We have caught nothing since last january and I meen nothing, no jacks, sharks nothing.

There has been no bait for months now.
None of the pompano guys doing for thiry years have caught nothing and several have told me it is the worst fisihing they have seen in years.

So I'm not sure where you have been fisihing but it sounds like a fish story.

I use live bait, frozen bait, shrimp, squid, lures and still we catch nothing.

It's so bad, that 6 of us that fish together have given up and dont even go anymore.

Hey Pete, thought I would give you my at home email instead of work. Like your Blog. Of course, I don't get to fish down that way anymore, but Jim Debula keeps me informed and I fish with him up here. Regards, Jimmy

Are you saying just over 19 sailfish per boat? Yes, I did the math, and now I'm curious how many days this derby lasts and how many bodies are in those boats (and I don't mean fish bodies). Did a few boats catch the majority of those sailfish, or was everyone having a great run at them????

Chris
The best way to catch Blue's in Sept. and Oct. is to cast a spoon. 1 or 1 1/2 oz gator or kroc spoon is best. Cast out and steady retrieve.
